Hi, I have just fitted an original 10 bolt V8 tank 16.5 gallons (not a 350 tank) to my car. I have then fitted the filler.

Then I went to fit the filler neck breather and have now noticed that the tank side does not have a pipe soldered into the side to allow for the pipe to connect to. The tank has never had a pipe soldered to the side.

I know that there is a difference between HK/T and HG.

My question is there a third style of filler which has no provision for the filler breather or is it blocked off at the neck?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and cheers

Hi Steve,
The fue tank you fitted, does it have the hump for the clearance of the 10bolt, which is also on the body?
If not, its a standard 6cylinder, v8 diff.!

Hi Monro350, yes it is a 10 bolt tank to fit floor hump in boot. I have been told today that I have a HK tank which has NO breather, so will have to block off breather pipe in filler neck and dummy fit to look as per HG. The other end is hidden under the boot cover.

cheers

If it is a HK tank then you will need to fit the other associated HK bits.
