Came across this Niles hazard lamp switch and would like to install it into the HK. I've drawn my plan onto the wiring diagram and before I go cutting wires I would like to know if this is the way to go or hear any better ideas please.

I want to avoid using the reverse switch because I don't want the front parkers to come on when I pick reverse.

I'll just do it and if the worse case happens my spare harness is actually much better and as good as new, except for the usual perished pink resistor wire. Speaking of which has anyone got a way to install a resistor (value?) to get around that one?

you could fit a full 12 volt coil with electronic ignition. Also there are many cars which have the resistor attached to the coil, usually its a ceramic looking block, look for one of these and pinch the resistor off that, or buy a new one.
