Might be worth considering whacking in a powerglide so its all stock and easy , i can help you with many of the bits you need. Box , tailshaft , crossmember etc..

I agree with James, but TH350 is just as easy. It'll fit wherever a Powerglide fits tailshaft, crossmember wise etc. Just needs a HT-HG trimatic T-bar to operate it. Brand new Muncies are relatively cheap too, and will fit if the HT originally had a Saginaw in it.

Note, VL diff is slightly narrower, VN-VSIII is slightly wider and easier to get.

Not without floor crossmember mods.

Standard HT-HG V8 Powerglide crossmember or Saginaw crossmember will do, If it's a short TH350 (same length as Powerglide).

TH350 crossmember locating point on crossmember shorter than powerglide by about 2 inches.

i think CRS do them off the shelf...

Adam, you are mistaken. They are the same. See attached link. The only different Powerglide I have ever seen is the Holden 6cyl one.

not too sure about those measurements.
the T350C also comes as non cable kickdown - they have it listed as cable kick only.

they also list the glide as a different overall length to the T350 6" ext housing length, but yet they run the same tailshaft.

if T350 was same as powerglide, then why is the powerglide and T350 crossmember points different for HQ-WB?.

Not sure about the cable kickdown. Never seen one without.

That overall length is a bit strange. However the mount data is right as far as I know. The idea was that the smaller boxes all fit in the same spot ie Powerglide, Saginaw, TH350, TH200. Same as the TH400 and the TH200-R4 use the same mounts to each other. I know the TH700R4 uses alomost the same mount as a TH350 (as cam be seen in that link data), and i'm almost certain the same goes for a V8 powerglide crossmember and a TH700R4. I'll look at some in the shed this weekend. Got me thinking now...
