Column shift auto - gear position gate bracket?!

OK... so I don't know what you'd call it, but I'm referring to the bracket that fixes to the steering column on the HQ (in column shift automatic applications) and has the gates across the top for the gear selection position. I presume this would be the same for HJ through to WB?
Now, my car was originally released with a Trimatic. What I'd like to know is, is there a different "bracket" for different gearboxes. For example, I believe some of the Statesmans came with a column shift T400, was that bracket any different to the Trimatic version?
Any input or information would be most useful.

Don't know of the "bracket" is the same for all the column autos, but I converted a column shifted Trimatic HQ to a column shift TH 400 and used the same bracket, the whole column was untouched.
The cross shaft past the Genies was a major PITA, though.
Never had any issues with gear selection.

i'd comment here on this one, but it might get classed as drivel from the above poster. most would know that genie and pacemaker pipes do not suit T400 linkages, but to explain would be drivel as well. Despite Francis's "informative' comments you can make a col shifted T400 and Genies with bolt on collectors work. I did it back in '96
Use the existing column, untouched.
The rod running down from the column to the crossshaft needs to be slightly bent. Cross shaft mount (bolts onto the chassis rail) was cut'n' shut to lower it so the cross shaft would align with the shaft that is bolted to the auto pan .I did a bit of heating & bending on the cross shaft, it ran in the gap between the 2 sets of pipes of the Genies. PM me and I'll send ya some pics.

Ahoy there Frank. I was so upset that you hung up on me the other day... I even wrote it in my diary.
Chris, thanks for the info. Thats all I needed to know. I have something in the pipeline. And its gonna blow Franks gelati socks off! People will come from miles around to gasp in sheer disbelief at it...
