Hey i am having some starting issues with my 98 VT V8 berlina. It fires fine when cold but if i go for a drive , have a quick stop and then go to start again it will turn over and about half the time not fire. I can get around this by turning the ignition on for 5 or so seconds before firing with a little throttle. I took it to my dealer and they found that the coolant temp sensor had a dodgy voltage so i am changing that. They also checked the fuel pressure and it was sweet. I am thinking its electrical and i am aware of the memcal fault that can occur when leaving the keys in the ignition when stopped, any ideas?

A guy at work had a similar prob with a VT v6 sometimes it would start and not other times ,it turned out to be a dodgy connection with the plug to the coil pack.

as above ^^
check the simple things like the battery terminals are tight, the earth lead is tight, and all other electrical connections are tight and clean
