I am currently restoring an EH special and would like to know if the 4 main front end to chassis rail bolts should be cad/zinc plating including the washers or should they be the engine bay colour, ie low gloss black

The washers are cad or zinc plated but the bolts look to have a black finish, similar to high tensile bolts.

Greetings, Don't plate these bolts as the process may weaken them. The bolts are black like an engine main bearing cap bolt whilst the attaching hardware is plated in various colours.
