Leroy interesting body plate that means it was a "nasco replacement body shell" most of the time the repairer discarded this one & put the original one in its place regards dirty davo www.bellarineclassicautos.com.au

Greetings, This is a very interesting point when you consider that the NASCO name had been replaced by GMP&A by this time. Even the dealer supplied information was now GMP&A News and not NASCO News as it once was known. Perhaps this was a way of identification of the regular replacement body shells as opposed to the all-mighty GMP&A A9X body shells?

I was going to mention the same thing. GM-H last used the name NASCO in 1974, when it was officially changed to GM P&A (General Motors Parts & Accessories).
You would have to ask how the NASCO name got onto a body plate that also had '77 Style' stamped on it. This dates it as 1976 or later.
As git has said it's probably not one of the A9X type race shells, it may well be just a regular replacement part shell & it used up an old stock NASCO ID plate.
