needs some advise on what's the best carb set up to use on my modified black 3.3, at the moment I have the varajet with probably not the right manifold and a redline freeflow which I'd like to keep on it, and some how needs a set up to warm the system up cold start as it keep stalling on me till it gets up to temperture, then after that no problem, but it is dame thirsty on fuel when I've only got the original fuel tank.
your help would be appreciated and diagrams or photo's if possable
the motor is set up in my FJ

how about trying a 34 ADM weber carby, they are found on the XE/XF fords there great carbys, a simple adapter plate and it will fit straight onto the varajet manifold

the varajet carbs are crap, the weber will be much better IMHO

if you decide to go for the weber and need a adapter then i make them and i can make you 1

i'm not suggesting the weber just to sell you a adapter, i make adapters to fit any carby to any manifold and i'm not fussed where you get your adapter from if you need 1

everyone i know that has fitted a 34 ADM weber to the red 6 is very happy with the results

another option would be a 2 barrel stromy, i prefer the webers though, the strombergs need to be jetted right to suit your motor

when rebuilding the motor I did away with the exhaust manifold and fitted a freeflow, any suggestions on ways to heat up the carb
