I've never seen a HQ Ambulance. Heaps of HJ-WB were made, in tonner and panel van. Is it an aftermarket conversion?

I was thinking factory Ambulance pack (BO6). I get what you mean now.

there was a few versions of the HQ ambo's, the most common is the one ton version, it's a 1 ton ute with a fiberglass canopy on the back
my ambo is a modified panel van, it was built by superior body builders in brisbane, it was ordered new as a V8 belmont with full options p/steer, air con LSD diff the lot (body plate says 2 seater) and the body builder did the modifying, adding the extra door in the side and putting barn doors on the back, as well as fitting out the insides with stainless steel cupboards and fiberglass roof liner (the tags read much like a sandy hey byron?)
the door is on different sides depending on which body builder built it, QLD usually put the extra door on the right side, SA usually put them on the left side
some vans were first aid vans or patient transfer vehicles, these usually didn't get the barn doors on the back and had the standard tail gate instead
mackv8 is the guy who knows his ambo stuff so he may be able to help you out further
i haven't ever seen another HQ ambo (van version) there is 1 that has been on ebay HEAPS of times but it's a patient transfer vehicle (doesn't have barn doors on the back) and is missing all the interior
i have seen a few tonner versions though
if you have any questions or would like to see more pics then just ask

yep sure is, the tank is in the same spot, the tank is just modified so the neck goes out the other side and the filler is across to the other side of the van

nah not lately, i've got a HQ tonner i've been working on, it's taking up all of my spare time and money ATM, i need it for a work ute so it's been pushed in front of the ambo, hopefully it will be finished soon
i have been slowly collecting parts for the ambo though, so once work begins again i should make some progress pretty quick i hope
