hi all, noticed yesterday that the temp guage in my v6 berlina was reading just under the lower red line indicating hot, but not quite hot enough to set the bell off. i naturally shat myself, pulled over immediately and investigated. all looked ok, limped home 2km and let it cool, checked coolant and was fine. now this morning when the car is stone cold, the temp guage is sitting in what i deem to be the normal zone, halfway between the 1/4 and 1/2 zone on the guage. put the key in and turn to acc and the guage goes to 1/2 even though it's cold.
i checked fuses for thermo's as they didn't seem to be coming on, but now i'm thinking why would they come on if the engine was running normal temp and the guage is rooted?
anyway i just wanted to know if this is common with these cars or not. thanks
