Is the original front-rear fader switch only to control a single speaker up front and a single speaker at the rear? I'm trying to connect this thing but theres 6 wires and only three connections and I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated Thanx

There are two versions of that fader, mono & stereo. The mono unit is to suit one front & one rear speaker connected to an AM radio. The stereo version is to suit 4 speakers (2 front, 2 rear) & a stereo unit. In the HQs case, it was to suit the Air Chief AM - cassette stereo unit, there was no FM in those days. The mono fader has 3 terminals & the stereo has 6. Post your e-mail address or fax number & I can send you a diagram of how to attach the 6 wires to the 3 terminals. If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
