Yes according to a note I made a while ago MOOG part numbers are Upper K5108 and Lower K5103
For HQ to WB

The full MOOG part numbers are uppers AMGK5108 and lowers AMGK5103

If not, of what is currently available, what has been found to be worth tracking down?

I was looking through some forums for 555 and perfect circle joints and they put these in the same quality group. If they are it makes them pretty good value with the $$ the way it is

afaik moog are made in mexico, you get what you pay for, $21 for a balljoint you won't get to much!

i recently brought some TRW they were $75 for a pair of lowers, i've been told there pretty good

also heard the pedders are quite good

555 uppers are still available, but the lowers are long gone, there was a guy trying to sell a set of 555's on ebay for $400

I went out and tracked down a full set of HQ control arms NOS with balljoints to avoid the problem!

MOOG (Federal-Mogul) and TRW were joined at a sales and branding level about 18 years ago but that didnt last very long.
They're completely different companies.

If you want a good quality balljoint then the first thing you need to look for is a single piece Cold Forged heat treated ballstud.
Most of the cheap stuff are hot forged.

From what I've been reading TRW and Raybestos are on parr or better or at least more consistant than MOOG balljoints.
I'd be going for the US made Raybestos (Spicer/NAPA/McQuay-Norris) before MOOG.

Affinia Global Brake and Chassis re-branded its Spicer Chassis parts under the Raybestos name a couple of years back.

Like Spicer, Raybestos have two grades of ball joints, Service and Professional grade.

Raybestos part numbers HQ-WB:
Upper - Raybestos professional grade 500-1009
Lower - Raybestos professional grade 505-1009
Upper - Raybestos standard grade 500-1009B
Lower - Raybestos standard grade 505-1009B
