Number will be HT01960S, A, M or B. It is the chassis number |

It's not a C, as you have been told it is a S,A,M or B. Put your glasses on. My money is on S.

It might be a light stamp, but the last letter has to be either A, B, M or S. Holden did not stamp anything else at the end.
So it is not a C. has the firwall been repainted? If so this might explain why the number cannot be fuly read.

Might be better to explain what the letters A, B, M & S mean. That would make it easier to understand why it cant be a C

Adelaide (Elizabeth), Brisbane (Acacia Ridge), Melbourne (Dandenong) and Sydney (Pagewood).
There werent any other plants operating in Australia in the late '60s.

You only have to be in front at the end of the race. |

Now the newbie might be able to understand. The build plant also appears on the large tag at the end of the body numbers ( either A,B,M.S ) or a letter and a number. On the small tag after the T is a letter and a number. If you put up these someone on here will help you out.

Not always, in some cases Pagewood has H5 for example (it did change during HK-HG just forgotten when).
James, Perth was building HK-HG as well, but if memory serves me correctly they were only assembling so a HT assembled in Perth would have an Elizabeth chassis number (ie ending in A). |

Yes that is why I mentioned in my post that it could also be a letter and a number.Only ever seen tags with H5, did any of the other plants do this.

As far as I know, no. Only Pagewood. And it changed to S during HG. |
