Remember how big the starfire 4 was going to be back in the 80's i just read about Ford that did the same thing to the 200ci 6 cyl motor just like our 200ci in the XR falcon. This went into the Ford tempo from 1984 to 94 2.3L 75kw 169NM Maybe our starfire could of done a bit better and lasted a bit longer if it was 202 cut down and went EFI.

Chevrolet did the same in the 70s to the 250 Chev 6. I've seen them in some South African imports with Tri-Matics behind them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_HSC_engineinteresting read, but also note the log motor this is based on varies alot compared to our crossflow motor we ran from 76 on in australia, this is more like an xy/xa variant i beleive

I think the USA 200ci motor has the same deck height as out XR 200 6 and the 250ci usa is more like our XY-B deck height. The last USA type 200ci had a change to the rear of the block more like the 250 with starter motor lower down.

I am I correct that the 2H Toyota diesel in Landcruisers was based on a Chev 6 cylinder petrol motor?
