Hi I am wanting to know how to change the oil in my Factory supercharger, as in where to drain it and are there two individual drain points for the front and end bearing etc and also what oil do I use. The oil that is in there now that I assume is factory fill really has a bad smell to it and I have been to my local Holden dealer to ask the same question but unfortunately they are absolutely useless. |

The oil is pumped up from the sump i would of thought.

Actually, just had a look at the pictures and it looks to be the Ecotec but in a Front wheel drive configuration.

That's not a bad find, and it's a pretty good rundown.
Harrop are the Australian agents for Eaton, and assemble superchargers locally, so if you can't get the oil from Holden, give them a call & ask their recommendation.
And just to clarify - the supercharger doesn't share the engine oil - it has it's own supply in the sealed nose housing, to lubricate it's gears. The pics in the link above will explain it a little better. |

Thanks for the information, yes I know I am Mr Sir, Vanom is my son's login, explains the gammer stuff, and I used his login until I decided to get registered. Anyway with the oil in the nose lubricating the front what lubricates the rear bearings or how does the oil get from the front to the rear?
