Hi guys
after speaking with many suspension places I have decided I want to change the panelvan to a 4 link rear end.

i have heard that the sedans (HJ - HZ) have a 4 link rear. How hard would it be to adapt the van rear end to fit a 4 link and remove the leaf springs?

The 4 link itself seems to be cheap just the labour cost is high?

Anyone with experience in this would be awesome.

Thoughts would also be great.

I would first be asking you why you wish to go this route?
Fair enough that the Van will see handling Probs but with todays Roll bars. A lot of this could be solved.

Unless your running it down the strip?

Rather than fit a sedan rear end to the van it might be easier to fit a Jag rear end to it.

Advantages would include coil spring independant rear end with disc brakes, strong diff & the same wheel stud pattern as HQ-WB & it's a self contained unit so

There is also the "Ladder Bar" approach! Unlike the Complex 4 link, The Ladder's are a little more forgiving with street cars.
I recall reading this on several times regarding the Pro's and Con's between the two Linkage systems.

This is all going back

Im am pretty lucky that I have a mate that builds chassis' etc (Extreme Chassis Works is the name of his business).

I was aware of the floor reinforcing but I am using an additional cross member instead of floor reinforcing.

Arh then ya half way to the finish line then. lol

Still the Ladder bar is an option, You still could use your idea of the Added X-member. And technically there will be less chopping up the floor to achieve what your after. As the Ladder's join at the f
