Same age cars, couldnt tell you which ones i got it from, I think chargers have this type.
Like ours, the passenger side mirror wasn't a requirement for rego, so it was an option, but a lot had them fitted as standard.
I would assume that the remote wasnt considered for an optional part.
How long is the arm on your original bit?

I wonder if they would have allowed you to option air/steer on a 161L auto? lol I can just see the salesman 'assisting' you to drive off the lot. Could you get a 161L auto?

will have a look tonight for you. That one you saw go for 800 must have been at the price peak? Couldn't see it going for much more than about half that now...

No, not available, they only cast an a/cond head for the 186 & 186S. The 161 head had a smaller combustion chamber. Then again the 161 lo-comp engine was fitted with a 186 head, so that is a possible build combination. Now that would have been a ball-tearer performance-wise, wouldn't it ?

Yes, extra mounting bosses on the right-hand side of the head to mount the compressor.

With auto, it would probably be the only car to not get out of 1st gear over a quarter mile,,or 1/2 mile.

oh yeah. well according to that document my nut is mounted backwards I think. The lever would be really sticky-outy if it was mounted the other way though? lol at 1/4 mile 1st gear - is that for the glide or the tri? or both?!

you'd need a salt lake for the glide

(I did know someone who tried the reverse gear on a glide on an airstrip, but he also tried a jato on a trolley on the same strip...he reckoned the glide was only slightely less scary, but left less gravel rash)

For some reason a lot of the HK dash harnesses seem to go brittle, not so much for T/G. You got a NOS one? I've got a mint HK GTS one and NOS GTS HT

This is a HK V8 auto GTS harness. Not that hard to convert to a manual one though.
