If it was me I'd get a blue or black motor one as they have a bigger clutch (holes are wider out on the flywheel for a bigger pressure plate. For this particular application anyway. For the dizzy any blue 6cyl motor or EFI black 6cyl. Will fit straight in but you need the coil as well, and bridge the start and run wires on the output side of the ignition switch. |

the electric dizzy is a great upgrade, i would defiantly recommend it
you'll have to use a relay for the power (to the dizzy) cause you'll need a full 12V, just use the yellow wire that's running the points dizzy for the trigger

Dave, you don't need a relay, just do as I said with the bridge on the ignition switch. |

Blue cranks are much heavier, so that would be why the blue flywheels are made so much lighter.
So the light XU1 red flywheel on the lighter red crank |

Is that pounds or kg? for the blue stuff? I don't remember a blue flywheel being any lighter than a red one. |

pounds i believe. the rotating assembly of a red crank and red flywheel is about the same as a blue crank and blue flywheel Markus would be better to run the red flywheel for towing a boat.. i normally advertise blue flywheels as a holden factory lightened flywheel and get my $100. someone may provide the three part numbers for each flywheel, particulary comparison the XU-1 Edited by user Saturday, 24 September 2011 4:06:58 AM(UTC)

If that is true then yes I agree. Red flywheel with 1-tonner clutch. |

Hi Markus, Are you sure the clutch is cable as all series Landys come with hydraulic clutches, even when converted to a Holden motor this was retained.
Also do you know what clutch parts are in there at the moment as some conversions used a Holden pressure plate and some used a Land Rover pressure plate or even a Vauvhall on the Holden flywheel and some even had a modified Land Rover flywheel. If you have one with a Land Rover pressure plate you may be stuck with the flywheel that is in there as these either had the flywheel re-drilled to suit.
Conversions using the Holden pressure plate generaly have a very heavy pedal with poor feel.
Might be worth checking before you purchase any new parts.

thank's muckute, wil check that out, only one resovoir with lines to brakes, break any line "no brakes" must put a valve on there for safety factor (one day)anyway had a mate from work pop round told me it's a red motor as it has 202 on block, blue and black had 3.3 ? also its not a 12 port head he took the flat plate dust cover off to have a look at port size, "surprise surpise" (that'l teach me to go of paper work without checking,) "NOW" thanks to adam perth + HK1837 i reckon the 27lb red flywheel is the way to go,"will red 186 fit red 202"?i will have to run rover clutch plate, but what's the diff with one tonner pressure plate to normal,is it heavier(at the pedal)or diffrent in diameter(help)THANKS to you all markus

Any chance you can post a pic of the brake reservoir and the cable setup for the clutch where it connects to the pedal as I am interested to see how it has been set up.
