Belmont had no arm rests and different patern on the vinyl, Prem had fake woodgrain dash, twin head lights, extra bright work and badges, bucket seats. There are a lot more things than that though.

Best way is turning one into the other.

Start with Belmont and add to make Kingswood:

Interior: add cigar lighter, arm rest and covered door release handle, interior light operated on front doors, new dash fascia
External: add bright work around side windows and wheel arch, thin sill mold.

Kingswood to Premier add

Interior: add wood grain to dash fascia, hand brake light, glovebox light, longer door arm rests with ashtray, interior light operated on back doors, carpet
Exterior: add twin headlight front, boot mold, trim rings, thick sill mold
Mechanically: add 202 engine and later models disc brakes.

Grilles were all the same with different paint treatment.

Options available were also different.

I am sure I have forgotten some so please add more anyone

Thanks mate, that's fantastic. I just need the info because I'm planning on buying a HQ sedan and I wanted the model with a floor-shift auto and disk brakes. I found a HQ brochure and figured out those things were optional, so I'll only find it if someone asked for those options. So far I guess I'll be getting a Prem' :-)
If anyone else thinks of more, please don't hesitate to say so! I'm very interested.
No worries, mate.

The models you'll most likely find disc brakes on are V8 HQ models. So V8 Belmont (0269), V8 Kingswood (0469) or V8 Premier (1269). You are correct that a Premier will be the best place to start for the most likely place to find both.

The only place you'll find console shift and disc brakes standard on a HQ sedan that I can think of are on XV2 Belmont sedan (SS) or XV4 or XW8 Kingswood sedan (GTS, GTS350).

Here's one:

I wish, I wanted a 253 but I'm only on my P plates and not allowed to have a V8 (because of those bloody tossers & hoons.)
So I'll have to get a 202. :-(
