G'day,

I have recently bought a set of Lovells springs for my front end and decided to order a set of Lovells leaf springs for the rear when I found out that Lovells don't make leaf springs for HK, HT & HG wagons. I'm a bit surprised as they make leaf springs for every other Holden wagon, that I can see.

I believe that the wagons have an extra leaf due to the extra weight but would the leaf springs be the same as the sedans, for example length etc? Thinking of adding a leaf.

Could a HQ-HZ leaf spring be used?

It depends upon the lux level and the series. Length is the same but they do vary in the amount of springs and the front bush size. Utes and vans have more leaves too.

HQ ect leaf are wider so wont fit between hangers unless you grind away 5+mm each side, plus because they are thicker it makes ride very stiff.
as HK says they are all same length & only number of leaves varies.

eg. ht/g 6cyl sedan & monaro 3 leaf. V8 monaro is 4 leaf.wagon is 5, van & ute 6 or 7 leaf

HK leafs were thinner so more of em but same principal

so just get order th sedan ones & get em to add another leaf (usually middle or 2nd bottom one)

Thanx Dirty Davo, I'm going to ring the sales manager to enquire about adding leafs to the sedan leaf springs.
