Hi guys,
What advantage, if any, is there in putting the crank from a 179 HP motor into my 186? the 186 is 60thou over, mild cam , bit of head work, twin Strommies, extractors. Any info is much appreciated.
Cheers........Brian

No advantage whatsoever, they are the same crank.

Other than the fact that all 179 & early 186 motors have a forged steel crank & the later 186 units are nodular cast iron, they are dimensionly identical.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
