I had the opportunity to look at a HQ grill that you supply and compare it to a New Old Stock one, and it is perfect. |

Thanks Peter We have had a few people telling us that they were not as good even though we are using genuine tooling for the plastic. We have remade the chrome strip for the grille and it fits a little better than the original. Thanks again most comments we get are criticism and sometime deserved but it's nice to get a complement as some of our parts are not too bad in fact some are very good. Les

I will organise a picture of the tooling unfortunately you will not see much as it can only be opened in the injection machine, but you can see the outside of the tool. I might try and organise an open day at Rare Spares if there is any interest out there and if I can work out the logistics of an open day . So if anyone is interested post here and we will try and work something out Les

Hi Les I had a look at one of the grilles up here in Sydney. Whilst the grille looked pretty good, constuction wise, the painting on it was poor. Looked like someone grabbed hold of it after painting while still wet, then painted over the finger marks left behind. This was in the silver part on the side. I wouldn't use it on my car without repainting it. Do you sell them unpainted? As said, construction looked good though. Cheers Keith

We only have painted ones you may have to repaint one that is already painted.
