i have 4 of th 5 parts books available for HQ

ie. 506pg yellow cvr M37058. 530pg red/orange cvr M37100. 607pg red/green cvr M37441. & 832pg may '77 update green cvr M37928.

does anyone have ?cvr ?pg M37865 out there for sale???

This must be a rare parts book as I thought that I had all the HQ parts books as well ( 4 like you plus early white cover non-illustrated & 2 Chev statesman books ) I have just talked to a collector friend & he has had a M37865 but does not now . sorry not much help , but now i need one too !! Mark.

Davo are you sure its a M37865 that you want as that is a HX Aug 1976 835 page book.

In HQ there are

GMH Catalogue Number M37072. Issued May 1971. 504 pages. (non-illustrated)
GMH Catalogue Number M37100. Issued November 1971. 532 pages.

well there ya go!!

juss went into me filing cabinet & found that my HX book is M37865 (august '76) & complete with ammending supplement M37865B (march '77')
therefore im almost complete but now realise i dont have th 'M37072' HQ one youve mentioned?? do you have an extra one of these at all??

my HJ one is effective july '77 M37965' supercedes 'M37529'.??

& my HZ one is 'M37983' effective october 77.

juss when ya tink ya got it all covered, another spanner in da works springs up !!

can anyone elaborate on this/these??

also what is difference btween M37441 oct 72 & 73 seeing they both have same page number totals?? (ps. are front page cover colours th same or different??)

I would suggest the differences are limited to the trim updates and GTS/4 info and the other small changes - indicators etc.

what is difference between M37441 oct 72 & 73 seeing they both have same page number totals?? (ps. are front page cover colours the same or different??)

From what I have been told there is no difference between these two books.(the second is just a reprint)
That's why they have the same part number and the same amount of pages.
But I have yet to get hold of the 72 one to do a actual side by side comparison.
My 73 one is the same colour as the 72 one (Orange and Green)
But I have seen one on ebay that is White and Green.

so now im just chasing M37072 to complete my collection (what colour is the cover on this one CLOUDY ??)

The 37072 has white covers.

There is also a HJ M37529 issued October 1974 (This is the small version of the HJ parts cat)
July '77 M37965' supersedes that one but from memory there is also a earlier version of
HJ M37965.

For HZ there is
HZ M37983 issued October 1977
HZ M37983C text section of above.
and I know of a HZ M37983D Text catalogue October-1980 (Supersedes M37983C).

Sorry but I only have one copy of each of parts books that I do have.

Thee may be a mistake somewhere in Oct '73 requiring the reprint a month later, good luck finding it though! Thee is evidence elsewhere in GMH literature of mistakes requiring a near immediate reprint, A626 and A627 colour charts as an example.

The listing on Ebay Paul is referring to, I have one. It is a GMH publication. A Catalogue of GMH Parts and Service Literature. Catalogue No PA1039-4-81. Effective April 1981. It is a consolidated listing of GMH Parts and service literature available " AT THE TIME", that is April 1981. Meaning the most up to date publication at the time. NOT a general listing of all GMH Literature ever printed up till that time. It only lists the Parts Catalogues, Owners Manuals and Workshop Manuals. As an example the HQ Parts Catalogue used for reference by GMH Service Personnel at that time was No M37928. Not very extensive in the sense being discussed here. An interesting publication nevertheless. It does include all vehicle of the time and till then. i.e Bedford, Buick,Cadillac,Chevrolet,Holden,Isuzu,Oldsmobile,Pontiac,Statesman and Vauxhall
