The factory has completed the revision of the HQ cowl panel and it is on the way for test fitment in early january 2013.As can be seen is the speaker grille and the crash pad retaining strip. Hopefully this is the final sample and will then allow production to be completed. The expected delivery date can then be advised.

The sample has arrived safely and will be test fitted. These two photos show the underside of the cowl panel and the two boxed areas that are as per the originals. The pricing is to be calculated and advised by Les once the sample has been approved. The silver finish is the paint used when welding parts in.

Like the majority of replacement panels these days they are made in Taiwan. They are scanned off an original.the factory has a car to test fit before sending samples to us for final fit and approval. The sample was approved yesterday and production advised to the factory. Delivery into store is expected late April/May.A new crash pad was attached to ensure fitment in that area.

Is there any update on these? Will they be ready in store by April?
Really keen to get my hands on one ASAP, any idea on indicative pricing?

I have just been advised by the factory that the container is being loaded and shipped in the next week. It should arrive early May in our warehouse. After inspection and approval they will be released for sale.

Due to many other items under tooling this item is further down the list and possibly for 2014.

I have just been to the factory this week and the tool die has been cast. it now requires machining before the first samples are pressed. At this stage it may be June/July before we get the off tool sample to test fit
