hi all can anyone tell me how much movement should there be in the timing chain.

with the tensioner loosened of 20mm from fully pushed in to right out.

passed on the number mate, cheers!

Now, are you planning on using the tensioner? Id get rid of it and just buy a new chain, should be able to get it through rollmaster or a whole gearset and replace the lot if youre feeling spendy.

+/-10mm is way too much for my liking, probably find the cam timing is up the s*** too.

I usually chuck em if i can feel more than a smidge of movement in teh chain.
