gday guys i just bought a 308 and supra 5 speed combo out of a hg kingswood to go into my hg belmont... but i am having some trouble finding what the engine originally came out of? got the engine and print date but doesnt registered on any engine number websites
passenger side front of head - 11wb3686 passenger side above water pump facing up - 19K8

if any one could help me to find what my engine originally came from that would help me out so much!

It's a very early WB statesman block. Maybe the last number should be zero not eight.

WB Deville, but I don't think it is a valid WB engine number. Look harder at it again. WB should be at least 6 digits (after the 11WB).

Shouldn't a WB Statesman engine prefix be 11WTxxxxxx ?

A 1978 casting number is also a bit odd for a WB block.

Hq blocks started with 1001 so I don't see why the WB blocks didnt do the same.

They didn't. Number sequence started at either VB Commodore release or with HZ engine numbers. Evidence points to most likely Commodore.
