Hi all, bit of trouble with the 202 , over the last two days when i go to fire her up she cranks slower than it should.

Ive also noticed the neg terminal gets very hot, ive swapped batteries same problem, im thinking it may be the starter motor

any ideas cheers steve

Resistance in the wiring is the issue. Heat will build up wherever there is resistance. If the negative terminal is getting hotter than anything else nearby, then the problem is in the negative terminal.

If the post area is clean, then the problem is inside where the wire bonds to the terminal body. If this is the case, maybe just purchase a new negative battery lead.

Thanks Dr Terry, i did replace the neg battery lead when i replaced all the other parts , it looked a bit dodgy,

I know i probably shouldnt have to but do you think a second earth lead would help ?

Problem fixed, i forgot to tighten earth lead properly on the block .

Shes running sweetly, cant believe i couldnt figure that one out meself.
