Hi all,

I'm reconditioning underneath my HZ GTS and I'm about to take out the petrol tank and all the fuel lines. Before I do, I need to understand how it all goes back together and what everything is for.

I can work out that the sender unit has a 'petrol out' pipe and a 'Vapour return' pipe (small diameter). I was wondering what all the other pipes are for.

There are 3 other pipes (2 on the right and 1 on the left) coming out of the tank that lead to a block. What is that block thing for?

I would really appreciate if someone has a diagram that explains it all.

Thanks, Alan.

The 'block' is the vapour separator. A line from this goes to the carbon canister.

If your car has a 'return line' it must have factory a/cond. Does it ?

Dr Terry.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thanks Dr Terry, yes it has factory air. It also has a round vapour seperator and return line up near the carby as well.
Cheers, Al.
