Not a burning question, but what did Holden do for shift linkages on the export LHD column shift manual cars?

Run linkages under the gearbox ( like a TH400 column shift)?

I think they used saginaw ( usa ) 3 speed boxes , as they had linkages on the correct side . Mark.

Thanks just GM. That would make sense, I didn't think they turned the Aussie 3 speed upside down!

Cheers.

I have seen drawings for LHD Toranas with 3spd Saginaw but I haven't seen one for a Holden, although it does make sense they would be the same. They RHD GMH assembled Chevs with column shift manual used a crossover arrangement. I've still got a few setups and boxes up on the mezzanine off RHD '57 Chev 6cyl 3spds. I also have a RHD '55-'57 Chev V8 3spd bellhousing at home, and I assume it was done the same as the box was the same AFAIK.

Good point, HK1837. I hadn't thought of the LHD to RHD side of the
equasion.

Thanks for posting,

Chris
