Not a burning question, but what did Holden do for shift linkages on the export LHD column shift manual cars?
Run linkages under the gearbox ( like a TH400 column shift)? |

I think they used saginaw ( usa ) 3 speed boxes , as they had linkages on the correct side . Mark. |

I have seen drawings for LHD Toranas with 3spd Saginaw but I haven't seen one for a Holden, although it does make sense they would be the same. They RHD GMH assembled Chevs with column shift manual used a crossover arrangement. I've still got a few setups and boxes up on the mezzanine off RHD '57 Chev 6cyl 3spds. I also have a RHD '55-'57 Chev V8 3spd bellhousing at home, and I assume it was done the same as the box was the same AFAIK. |
