Hi all,

Just want to know if someone could help with the wiring for a hk tacho.
I know the green wire goes on the negative side of the coil but where does the other wire go to and what colour is the wire ?

Some one before me as wired it like this, green to negative side of coil, white wire to positive side of coil but my guess is that this wrong ? White has been joined under console and this wire should go to 12v ignition source ?

When I put mine (186S HK gts) in there were 4 wires from the back of the tacho

Black - earth
Brown - through firewall to negative side of coil
Pink - up under dash to rear of fuse panel #5 I think.
Grey - up under dash to rear of fuse panel #10 I think.

If you have access to the supplementary shop manual for HK there is a diagram there. Would post copy of mine but many thousands of miles away at the moment.

I saw some images on the web of replica tachos with brown, pink, grey and green wires.
