can anyone tell me what sensor the engine light runs off? mine comes on regularly, usually around the 20 minute mark of a drive, doesnt seem to matter hot or cold, but goes off the instant i accelerate. after a minute or so it'll comr back on, so ill tap the accelerator, and she disappears again. any thoughts on what might be triggering it? im guessing its just a faulty sensor or something because it makes no difference to anything

for an example there might be 100 codes that could be loggedn in a vt, only 35 will turn a lamp on, so you need to get a scan to give you an idea.
The latest obd2 systems will flash the check engine lamp if you have a major missfire to let you know there is a problem.
