Hi there i purchase a secondhand HT console for my GTS but it doesnt fit as the floor has been cut out and modified so the 9inch gearbox fits in to make way for a 350 engine the car was orinally a 6cylinder and appears the hole cut out is offset,but the cosole doesnt sit as normal, the car had a custom console when i purchased it any suggestions on what to do as i did want a console put in the car any feed back would be appreciated

Put it all back to original using a cut section from a donor car and one of the aftermarket shifter bosses. |

HK are you saying put a 6 back in it, i wanted the 350 in it
you know anyone with a floor section they want too sell

Tunnels are all the same except for those with a Saginaw box have a pressing in them. Floor shift cars had a piece welded in. If you fix your tunnel by welding a piece back where it should be, and getting a floor shift piece off Ebay the console will fit. If it is an Opel 4spd console you'll have to modify it to suit a T-bar or Saginaw (they have a piece missing and an extra bit sticking out).
