Are HZ statesman inner splash guards the same shape as late HQ inner splash guards? Are HJ,X,Z all the same?
I think the rubber apron on HQ's was mounted a little different but appart from that I'd like to know if the guards fit ok.
Thanks

They will fit, but the holes in them for various things will differ. The rubber splash guards are held on differently on earlier cars (like HQ and some of HJ/X, can't remember the breakpoint timeframe). 1/75 on have holes for canister mount. And aircon cars have extra holes. But I think they all start out as the same thing. There are no different part numbers across each series for different applications. The part number superceds at some stage between 8/76 and 7/77 from an original HQ 28 part number to a 99 part number. This may be when the splash guards attached to the skirts changed from a combination of staples and plastic plugs to all plugs.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?
