Hi guys, considering putting my VN's 3.8 and auto into my HQ and wondering how hard it is considering installation and engineering certification.
Main bits I'm concerned about are:
- Engine mounts and brackets
- Does the gearbox crossmember have to be modified
- Manifolds and exhaust
- Wiring and computer

And also need to know if it's okay to run the purge tank up the front with the fuel pump inside it, or should I modify the fuel tank?

Cheers guys!!
No worries, mate.

Pretty straightforward converson. EFU 304 is heaps easier and cheaper though. I'll send you something.

you can buy a complete conversion kit from V6conversions do do the job

or modify the sump yourself (move the hump from the front to the back) DLI certified engine mounts are $200 from V6conversions and are well worth the money considering the mucking around making them yourself

the original cross member is very easy to modify to suit

BTW, legally you'll have to get a engineers cert to drive the car

i'm in the middle of putting a suoercharged ecotec in my HQ, so if you have any questions, then don't hesitate to ask!
