David, I doubt very much if anybody would have that info. I can't answer your question, but I can tell you that Cordovan was one of the least popular colours, rarely seen these days.

We often get queries about how many cars were painted this combo, or how many had 4-speed boxes etc. etc. It would be very nice to have to any existing production records, to be able to answer them.

What colour is this? Many years ago I had a HQ Statesman custom 253 3-speed in a rotten light beigy pinky colour with a white top. Just wondering if this is the colour.

Cordovan is like a purple-ish colour, almost like a purple mixed with brown. To be on a HQ Statesman it was a special order colour like Dr Terry's.

Just to clear things up a little, that Cordovan Statesman was not mine. It was a customer's donor car for a Monaro project we completed about 6 months ago. The body was rusted beyond repair, including the most bubbled vinyl roof I'd seen in recent years, as well as the fact that the roof was crushed down by a tree. However it was a complete unmolested & had genuine 350/TH400, air/steer, GTS instruments etc. etc. We transferred all this stuff into a very plain LS Monaro 6-cyl body.

BTW I'm not a Cordovan fan.

Yes, any late (7/67 onwards) HR Premier can be optioned with Silver Mink paint & black interior trim.

The numbers translate as follows:-

574-1704 is the Dulux paint number for Silver Mink Metallic

1205 is the GM-H combination number for a car painted Silver Mink Met. with a Grecian White roof.

F52 is the interior trim code for black in an HR Premier sedan with bucket seats.

Hi David.

893 = GM-H exterior code for a car painted Satin Silver Metallic with a Grecian White roof
E65 = GM-H interior code for Astoria Red trim in an HR Premier with front bucket seats
587-3675 = Dulux paint code for Satin Silver Metallic paint
585-9562 = Dulux paint code for Grecian White paint
S102167 = Sydney tag number. This number is not that relevant, as is represents the 102,167th car built at the Pagewood (Sydney) plant since the beginning of HD (yes HD) production. This figure also includes the count of any Chevs, Pontiacs, Vauxhalls, Bedfords etc. etc. built during that same period.

Where are you finding all of these HR Prems David ??

1139 = GM-H exterior code for a car painted Seamist Jade Metallic all over
E62 = May have been misread because it refers to the GM-H interior code for Dawson & Alaskan Aqua trim in an HR Special wagon. It might read F62, but that is the GM-H interior code for Goya Red trim in an HR bucket seated Prem wagon !! Or F52 which is the GM-H interior code for Black trim in an HR Prem sedan with bucket seats. Maybe this number needs to be checked again.

587-8692 = Dulux paint code for Seamist Jade Metallic paint
HR235AR = HR Premier sedan, automatic transmission & right-hand drive
5135M = 5,135th HR off the Melbourne (Dandenong) production line

I believe 242 to be correct, it is the model extension. It describes the basic options. I don't have full list, but this topic was discussed here on the forum, a year or two ago.

The number refers to the model/body/engine/trans/brake combination :- e.g Special/wagon/186/3-sp manual/disc brakes.

David, I have a list coming for you. Haven't got it yet, just a few.
