Hi All

My first here in many years so here goes.

Has anyone got any pictures or information on the WB Stats Aircon vucum lines and where the Vacum motors are.
I have removed the dashboard and I see all the piping but cant see any vac motors, are they inside of the black aircon box.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is a long weekend here in adelaide and I would like to get the job done.

Thanks

PS I did search the forums before I asked and there wasn't any pics anywhere.

Are talking about the diaphragms?? If this is what you are after they are on the fire wall side of the heater box ( yes yippy!!!!) which means splitting the accumulator box and heater box at the fire wall. Then to make it better, the WB Stato has three diaphragms, two different size diaphragm( one large one, same size as the other models which which only have two diaphragms and two smaller ones and these smaller diaphragms are hard to get unless you know somebody who is wrecking a Statesman and is prepared to separate the A/C and sell it in bits. I think I may have some notes some where as to where the hoses go onto the actual controls if this helps as theses are colour coded but I am sure they are also listed in the manual. I have had my dash disassembled for nine years and dreading the day I have to assemble it. Cheers MS

Thanks for the quick reply.
My Hx sandman ute aircon is so much simpler.
I have all the holden workshop manuals plus the supplement, but the supplement doesnt have anything about the aircon.

If you have the colour codes and where they go on the switch, that would be absolutely fantastic.

Thanks

I found my notes on the WB A/C but this will not suit yours if it is now HX A/C ?? I am sure I have seen a colour coded diagram in the manuals, could it be in the actual Q manual before the supplements. I am unsure if the Q's were vacuum controlled ?? My Wb manuals have absolutely no information about A/C.

A bit unsure if you are after information for a WB A/C or the HX type but if you have the holden workshop manuals volume 5 electrical and A/C page 61 of the A/C section may be of help. it is a colour coded vacuum line and electrical schematic. The HQ A/C looks similar to the later models with only two diaphragms.

Hi
It is a WB.
After looking at it I think it is the vac switch. I put the vac line on each door and they all work as individuals.
Crowe very nicely sent me the line diagram which helped heaps to test everything
What I need now is what doors do what when you select it on the select lever.

My Recirculation flap wont work when i select Max, but if I pull off the pink line I have vac on that but not on other ports.
Totally confused.

Thanks
