Could someone please tell me if HG 253 accelerator cable can be used with 308 quadrajet.

Jim, HGs didn't have an accelerator cable, they had linkage from the firewall.
Having said that, there isn't a great deal of difference between the two, so whatever works for the WW, will operate a Q-jet.

From memory the WW's throttle rod is a bit shorter for the 253 as the throttle plate is further forward on a Quadrajet on a 308. I think you have to make a new rod up or lengthen it slightly. |
