From what I've been able to see the front two plug leads on a HT 350 are placed between the exhaust manifold and engine block as they run forward? Is this correct? Seems very close to a hot manifold and not too safe???

Were there any heat shields on the stock manifolds? Some time ago there were some pics of 307s posted on this forum- perhaps that would provide a clue. Also have you tried some USA based Chev forums? Someone there might be able to help.
Sorry, that's all I can offer. One for Jim or Dr Terry! |

i reckon the 2 fronts run down and back towards the dizzy they have heat shields that bolt to the block and have a lead retainer that bolts to the same position as the heat shield. as the leads get to the back there is another lead retainer that bolt at the back of the block.have a look at monaro muscle parts web site they sell a complete kit lead $ retainer set if not you can get these straight from the usa if you know what model to look for. |
why drink & drive when you can drift & slide |

Thanks for the feedback, I've got a couple of small two lead retainers that sound like the sump mount ones. Will need to chase up the heat shields.
