Hi Fastlane,

I am about to recover a HT Premier interior in original NOS Black Brocade/Castillon Weave that I have collected over the years.

Should the buttons on the Premier Bucket seats be finished in the Brocade, or vinyl? I have been trying to look at old Holden marketing photos to figure this out and I can;t quite tell. I am also wondering whether Premiers might have had Brocade buttons and Broughams had vinyl buttons, or vice versa.

Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi Mr. Jones,

Yeah, I think you are right - those ones look like brocade buttons to me.

Cheers

normally buttons would be in the same material as the rest would look a bit odd to have vinyl buttons on a brocade seat.

Hi Tim75b,

Thanks for posting the pics of the black HT Premier Castillon Weave! Very informative.
I have had the buttons for my seats recovered in the cloth as per your photos.

Cheers

The Buttons are done in the same brocade cloth as the seat. This also true for the Brougham.

Hi Brougham man,

Thanks for your post. I have already had the seats done. But I would be interested to know who did yours.

Luckily, Tim75b's post showed photos with the buttons done in brocade so I was able to get this done right.

Cheers

Hi htprem

I've only had the buttons done thus far lol. I have 8 yards of new Brocade cloth but no funds at the moment to have the seats done. My interior's not that bad and I will do it when it gets painted and the material for the roof has been purchased.
