Are Rares looking at doing HQ - WB front doors?

The factory is still working on the HQ front panel, fenders and front bumper bar. They are starting to tool up for the HJ cowl panel. The doors are possibly on their longer term plan and could be the HJ version, with the intrusion bar to ensure the safety factor. Knowing the issues GMH had years ago when they made their doors in Taiwan it is a product that will take some amount of tooling. The original GMH tooling over there was destroyed nearly 20 years ago.

I think rares should really look at it a bit harder, the market is huge. I get $500 for good second hand front doors. its by far the most commonly requested HQ - WB part...of ANY HQ - WB part!

I can get HQ guards and bumpers easier than I can get a HQ - WB front door..., I can actually get a good HQ rad support more readily than a good HQ - WB front door.

Adam, We wreck 81837s"" said it perfectly when Stockholders and GMH couldn't get it right with all their experience and funds. Firstly the factory would need a good straight donor car to test fit any parts over there, the major issue which GMH didn't do. Secondly there is a significant dollar cost in making the tooling, which has to be recouped at some stage and the funds allocated to do the tools. Thirdly the factory makes the decisions on what they want to make and what has priority. It has been suggested about the doors, and it hasn't been dismissed, but other items are taking up their time for now. We will keep pushing for these. As mentioned they would have to have the intrusion bars fitted so the sales would cover HQ-WB, not just HQ. Would that be a concern as safety is important.

ok, interesting... my guess is for every HQ-WB that still exists, they would need on average 1 front door per vehicle...
