Hi Fastlaners,
I am reconditioning the heater box on my HT Premier. I have already re-zinced and re-foamed the flap, and have had the radiator recored. Does anyone know how to recondition the blower fan? Or is there anybody who can recondition the blower fan for me?
Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the fan or the fan motor? If the motor try some local electrical motor rewinders?
And is the fan motor an AC Delco? If so perhaps one from the USA? All I can come up with. |
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right. |

Hi Premier 350,
I mean the blower fan motor itself - I'm not sure if it is AC Delco - I'll have a look over the weekend.
Thanks for the advice.

What is the problem with the electric motor? Can you rotate the shaft by hand? Does is spin when powered up at all? If so, is it rattly or smooth? I mainly refurb EJ/EH heaters, I may be able to help if it's retrievable. Edited by user Friday, 17 January 2014 12:14:50 AM(UTC)

Hi Utility8,
The fan in mine actually works ok, and I have a spare one that also works ok. Its more that I am aware these things are now 40 odd years old and given that I have pulled the rest of it apart and restored it all, that I might as well get the fan motor back up to top working order as well - its more about doing the whole job in one hit, rather than doing 70% and hoping the other 30% hangs in there! I could simply reassemble everything with my perfectly serviceable fan motor, but thought it better to do the whole job. I had planned to put my original one aside as I know it works ok, and get the spare one reconditioned. It seems to spin fine when powered up and doesn't rattle. I am not familiar with the EH/EJ heater fans so don't know how they compare. Any chance I could have a chat to you about it?
Cheers
