Just a question of application. Would a Bosch HEI distributor '83 commodore 308 fit other earlier 308s?
Is there any modifications, vacuum advance or wiring changes required?
Can you just swap the distributor cap (push in type sparkplug leads vs push on type)
Thanks

Yes, no problems. It will fit into any 253/308 carby V8.
It will need the correct matching HEI ignition coil & a full 12 volt supply. For HT-HZ, VB & Torana you will need to bypass the ballast resistor.
Use the VN-VTI V8 cap & rotor to stay with the push-in type leads.
Phone me at work for any more details.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Terry, I thought the VN rotor didn't fit. I had to use an XD/E one with a points dizzy cap. I'msure I tried a VN one and it was too big for the shaft. |
