can anybody tell me what year this battery is from . make/model
will it suit HK HT HG. does anybody recondition these batteries

how much would this type of battery go for . found it in grandfather shed. like to know what model car it came out of

Greetings, About $10 if it holds charge. Look closer at it. Someone has managed to put a little modern plastic battery inside an old hard rubber casing. Very clever. The battery is not a tar top as you have said. It is a plastic top with the original Lucas caps on it.

The casing is stuffed as shown in the first shot and is really beyond repair for a big dollar rebuild. Better than nothing if you want this type of thing though. It is a six-cylinder size battery case (44 Ah). HGs usually had the plastic cased battery as the hard rubber type was phased out in HT.
