I do not know the astra engine but it may have a special key with 5 or 7 sides, just ask at Repco etc for the one you need and she may have one for the filter as well. It may not have a sump plug as some run a hose down the dipstick tube to suck out the oil. What ever the book says you have to do, just do it as it says.

The TS Astra oil filter, on some engines, is contained in an alloy canister mounted on the front of the engine & accessible from the top. It has a large hexagon on its lid, which you just undo with a spanner or socket.
The sump from memory requires a T45 Torx bit. These are a 6-pointed star, similar to a Allen key.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
