Dear All,

Can anyone assist with advice as to why my headlights will not work on high beam.
It is a HZ with twin headlight front.
High beam was working, then stopped. Only low beam now work. When I click onto high beam, no lights at all.
Replaced stalk with a new one and no change.
If I hold lever back all lights work, but as soon as I let go, nothing.
Any advice welcome.

kind regards Dave

I'd check if there is a high beam relay, and if so, check it or swap it for the low beam relay and test the lights again. HZ probably has relays for headlights but I can't say for sure. Worth checking though.

If it's wired anything like the VB commodore that used the same stalk (minus the reverse light circuit through the blinker switch section) then the "flash" runs through a different fuse to the continuous high beam, so you can still get momentary power to the high beams by pulling back on the wand, but it won't change over to high beam.
Cheers,

Mick

Thank you for your advice.
