Removed the two metal mounting brackets that were spot welded to the radiator support panels on my car many years ago to fit a HT grille. These brackets were spot welded on. Located a HK ute and took the tools to drill and chisel off the brackets from it. Found that these brackets were screwed on and I couldn't see any signs that they were ever spot welded on. Does anyone know if this would have been correct for the ute and were these brackets ever fixed by screws on HK Monaros.

Always spot welded according to what I've seen, and the documents I have. The radiator support panels may have been replaced at some stage, or it could be a HT/HG subframe with the gearbox cross member extension rails removed.
