Anyone here ever heard of a HT Monaro fitted with a 327 at the factory?
My cousin says he can remember one here in Adelaide about 30 years ago, 327 badges and all.
He's been a Monaro nut since birth so he knows a thing or two.
Apparently his neighbour bought it new.

The first HT 1837 which was Elizabeth assembled had a 327 in it as GMH didn't have any 350's ye. The 2nd Elizabeth HT 1837 was built but not finished until I think a year later when it got a 350. The first HT GTS350 completed is the Verdoro Pagewood car that was for sale a while back, it is the car famous for the sump being cut open at Bathurst to reveal the 4 bolt caps.
I'm not aware of that first Elizabeth build getting 327 badges though, but I don't know for certain it didn't. |

The first car built in Adelaide is the car from the "scorching success" ad and has 350 badges.

It was early 70's so no idea where the car was built, maybe Adelaide.
It was verdoro green with 327 badges he reckons.

This ol chestnut pops it's head up from time to time. But it is always "I remember"
Never has an actual car been found. Not ever any documentation to prove that it happened either.
I guess technically it could have happened, but why has one never been found?
