I'm finally ready to paint my HZ Sandman van. Looking for assistance/advice on whether its better to paint, clear and sticker or paint, sticker and clear. Your thoughts appreciated.

Stickers go on the finished product. Best bet is to chat with Jason at Stickthis who sells the stripe kits.

Decals are almost always fitted after paint. I've seen a few exceptions over the years for factory vehicles mostly pin stripes on prestige cars... upmarket jags etc and the old square Jeep Cherokee had cleared over decals to. Quite often decals cleared over is only seen in motorcycle refinishing.

Chances are your paints going to well outlast your decals so if you ever want to replace them you will have a hard time if they're cleared over.
