can any one have a ball park figure one gettings my 308 heads done to run staight gas(out of a hq)

Depends where you are. On the Central Coast I recently had my heads done on my VK 304 so it could run strait PULP If you pull the heads off yourself it will cost about $600 to $700 plus what ever the cost is to replace the carby for the gas unit.

I have some Yella Terra Stage 3 heads That i had reconed a year ago for my 308 on straight gas. I used them for about 3 t0 4 months weekend driving before i cracked a skirt off a piston.... New guides new springs and collets 3 angle valve joby stelite sea

Dion & Craig,
Stage 3 heads are OK with a modified donk. If Dion's 308 is standard with standard pistons he will have the same problem as you, a major rebuild. There may be piston to valve clearance issues. A Stage 3 isnt what he needs as I read it. H
